Courtney was born and raised in Vancouver’s lower mainland and has joined the office with a wide variety of customer service under her belt. Her natural ability to bring smiles
on patients has allowed her to integrate one on one optometric care from the administration aspect of the office. When she is not studying for her business diploma program,
you will find Courtney enjoying BC’s great outdoors with family and friends, and likely spoiling her rescue cat, Eliza Doolittle.
Born and raised in the Philippines and having moved to Vancouver’s lower mainland as a child. Arlyn’s international experiences has helped her with intercultural encounters with patients. With a calm demeanor and a drive to coordinate patient care in the most considerate manner. When she is not in the clinic, Arlyn likes to immerse herself in nature, playing mermaids with her best friend and the world of star wars.
Dr.Jenifer Van grew up in Vancouver where she received her Bachelor’s of Science from the University of British Columbia. She then went on and graduated with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Van worked in a rural setting on the Sunshine Coast for a few years, and has since moved back to the Lower Mainland to be with her family and provide primary eye care services to her patients here. As part of her training, she has completed several clinical rotation including at a Veteran Affairs Hospital and a refractive surgery centre.
Dr. Van loves meeting new people, and her favourite part of the eye exam is educating her patients about their eyes. She strives to provide the best quality care and looks forward to seeing her patients year after year. In her spare time, you can find Dr. Van either cooking or enjoying the great outdoors.
Dr.Rosita Wang is a graduate from the School of Optometry in Ontario’s University of Waterloo. She has had great academic success, graduating from Optometry school on the Dean’s Honour list, as well as receiving the Beta Sigma Kappa award for high academic standing.
Aside for her many years experience in private practice, Dr. Wang has also had the opportunity to do a clinical rotation in OMNI Eye Services centre, Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked closely with ophthalmologists specializing in retina, glaucoma, cornea and oculo-plastics. In her practice, she strives to provide thorough and sincere care to her patients. She hopes to educate them on the latest research and ophthalmic products to help prevent and manage ocular conditions. For her efforts, she has received the “Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care” from Johnson and Johnson Vision Care.
Dr. Wang loves to spend time with her growing family and to explore different cities and cultures with them. She is a firm believer in outreach and giving back to the local and global community, and is very thankful, not only for the past opportunities presented to her to provide free vision care through her mission work in Mexico, but also to similar possibilities in the future. Dr. Wang is truly multicultural, she is fluent in English, Spanish and Mandarin. She would love to get to know you and your family and help you with your vision needs.
Dr.Jennie Chi obtained her Bachelor’s of Science at the University of British Columbia prior to graduating with Honors from the University of Waterloo Optometry Program. As part of her training, Dr. Chi completed her clinical rotation at OMNI Baltimore Eye Centre and finished her practicum within a rural city setting of Ontario.
After settling back to Vancouver’s lower mainland, Dr. Chi provided full scope eyecare in a wide variety of settings including co-managing psychiatric and forensic psychiatric patients in a multi-disciplinary health facility, to private practice primary care offices, as well as lecturing in the diabetes clinic at Eagle Ridge Hospital.
As the recipient of OAO Award for Excellence in Patient Management, Dr. Chi strives to provide the care and education for her patients and pays attention to the details of what each individual presents with.
