Covid – 19 Procedures

Our staff and doctors will be following robust disinfection procedures and be donning personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of our patients and commmunity.  As such, we encourage you to call ahead to book your appointment, or to book your appointment online so that we can monitor the capacity of people our office can hold at any given time.

Pre-Appointment

• We will be asking our patients to fill out a Covid-19 related questionnaire prior to coming into the office.

• Our trained staff will be asking about your health concerns and gathering medical information prior to the appointment. This information will be kept confidential and will only be shared with the doctor.

Appointment check-in

• We will ask all our patients to sanitize hands once they come into the office.

• In keeping with the recommendation of Health Canada, our staff and doctors will be wearing masks, we ask that all our patients wear a mask to their appointments.Social distancing measures will be in place while in the office, and the spacing in the waiting room chairs will be accommodating these changes.

Examination

• All equipment, examination rooms and office surfaces will be sanitized for each patient.

Eye wear selection

• Our dispensing staff will help hand select frames that have been individually disinfected for our patients to try on.

• We have ensured protective barriers have been put in place during the eye wear consultation.

• If adjustments are required for any of the eyewear chosen, we recommend booking a dedicated time with our dispensing staff.
